The 2025 Blizzard Anomaly 102 is the brawny, freeride-focused sibling in Blizzard’s new Anomaly lineup—built for aggressive skiers who want a ski that charges hard, holds an edge like a race ski, and doesn’t flinch in variable snow. It’s not here to dance around the mountain—it’s here to blow through whatever stands in its way.
At 102mm underfoot, the Anomaly 102 is the widest of the new Anomaly series, and it uses that platform well. Blizzard equips it with their new TrueBlend Freeride wood core and dual Titanal layers in a FluxForm configuration—essentially Titanal strategically distributed to provide edge hold where you need it and flex where you want it. This construction makes the ski feel incredibly solid without being a lifeless brick. It’s damp, precise, and extremely confidence-inspiring at speed.
On snow, the Anomaly 102 feels planted and powerful. It rails long turns on firm snow like a ski half its width, and in crud or mixed conditions, it bulldozes without hesitation. While it has some rocker for float and easier pivoting, this is still a directional ski that wants to be driven from the front. The tail is supportive, stiff, and rewards good form—don’t expect to get away with lazy skiing here.
Compared to the narrower Anomaly 94 or 88, the 102 trades some quickness for stability and better performance in soft or chopped-up snow. It’s not trying to be playful or buttery like an Armada ARV 106—it’s more comparable to skis like the Nordica Enforcer Free 104 or Volkl Mantra 102. But where the Mantra leans more technical and the Enforcer blends power with ease, the Anomaly 102 leans fully into its charger identity.
For 2025, this ski is a brand-new introduction, but it borrows DNA from Blizzard’s long lineage of high-performance freeride skis (think Bonafide or Cochise, but with a modernized flex and rocker profile). It's a ski for powerful skiers who ski fast, push hard, and want confidence in every condition the resort or sidecountry can throw at them.
In short, the Blizzard Anomaly 102 is a no-BS big-mountain weapon for aggressive riders. If you’ve got strong legs and a need for speed, this ski will reward you with absolute dominance across the hill. Just don’t expect it to coddle you—it’s here to rip.
